Public Relations Vice President – Technology PR 

LOCATION: The Public Relations VP - Technology PR is part of our FINN Partners NY, NY HQ’s Technology Public Relations team. This is a full-time, direct hire, remote work role for applicants who currently reside in the USA Eastern Time Zone or USA Central Time Zone. There will be required monthly in-person business trips to our NY, NY office (team meetings, client meetings, PR events etc.).

We are seeking the following within the skill sets of our applicants for the Tech PR VP role:

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of PR agency-based work history that also includes recent Tech Public Relations agency leadership experience in B2BTech and Consumer Tech (experience in fintech, AI, robotics & automation is a plus.).
  • Strategic thought partnership experience provided to executive-level communications & marketing client contacts; experience in collaborating with and building strong PR client relationships/partnerships.
  • Leadership experience of highly functioning PR account teams that focus on executional excellence; A work history of supporting the training and development of PR team members.
  • Demonstrable experience developing top-tier business and B2B tech media strategies.
  • Experience with proactive creativity and ideation in strategic planning.
  • Comfort in leveraging AI tools and platforms to drive team and program insights, efficiency and productivity.


Responsibilities:

  • Identify new client relationship opportunities for our public relations TECH practice. Assist the Partner of the TECH practice in activities to pitch and win new client business.
  • Develop and grow new senior level client relationships.
  • Nurture and sustain existing client relationships and seek out opportunities to expand scope of business with our clients.
  • Develop complete communications plans for clients.
  • Provide counsel, strategy, and direction for accounts.
  • Leverage existing relationships and create new relationships across technology trade and business media, to drive coverage on behalf of clients.
  • Productively provide ideas to clients to maximize communications results and/or anticipate issues.
  • Manage and professionally develop our public relations technology practice’s account staff members.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of prior Technology PR work experience directing public relations teams and client campaigns.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or public relations.
  • Deep understanding of public relations and media relations based on prior years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience thinking creatively, and in planning strategically and globally.
  • Experience assessing and winning potential new business opportunities.
  • Adept at developing and delivering presentations/pitches to current and prospective clients.
  • Ability to understand the experiences of other FP employees and incorporate them into successful business strategies.
  • Strong verbal, writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to generate profitability for the business.
  • Ability to motivate and lead others.
  • Superb interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to budget programs and manage client finances.
  • Availability to travel as needed to off-site meetings and/or client events.

Salary range is $110,000 - $140,000. The salary offered will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s experience and dependent upon the workplace.
