Finance Project Manager
Job Summary
The Financial Project Manager is the primary liaison between Project Management and Accounting, and is responsible for all financial details related to the project lifecycle. The Financial Project Manager oversees a variety of projects that relate directly to the organization’s revenue and expenses. This role requires an excellent balance of financial expertise and organization skills, as well as the ability to lead and coordinate across multiple teams.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day financial details of ongoing projects with minimal oversight
- Serve as the financial point of contact
- Prepare financial reports related to job fees and expense budgets, time, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and revenue reconciliation
- Conduct routine and ad hoc business intelligence reporting to track the team’s financial performance against plans
- Identify trends, communicate risks and recommendations to management
- Maintain quality system data control and financial due diligence
- Actively seek methods to enhance overall efficiency and performance
- Extract and analyze data from various internal systems to assemble relevant information into spreadsheets/reports/presentations
- Proactively seek opportunities to improve reports, processes and problem-solving tools that improve financial operations, compliance, and performance
- Work closely with Project Management, Billing, and internal teams to help ensure projects meet internal deadlines
- Report on revenue performance and prepare briefs for regular and ad-hoc leadership reviews in a timely and professional manner
- Lead special projects at the direction of Financial Lead in support of the development of the team’s growth, profitability, and expense management
- Cultivate positive team relationship and look for opportunities to improve existing workflows

- Strong aptitude for working with data, and excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Must have ability to summarize and present information and findings clearly and concisely
- Self-motivated, curious, proactive individual who constantly seeks improvement opportunities
- Must track tasks, set deadlines, and complete tasks on time with minimal supervision
- Ability to accept and manage responsibility, accountability, and feedback
- Ability to maintain high quality control and review work before submitting
- Excellent time management and communication skills

Experience & Education
- BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3-7 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency using MS Office Suite and Google Suite (fluency with Excel or Sheets formulas and functions required)
- Knowledge of Netsuite and MavenLink/Kantata is a plus
- Experience with financial dashboards and data visualization tools
- Experience in Financial Management and/or Consulting

Anticipated Salary: $80,000 - $100,000
Compensation is based on experience and depending upon workplace location.
