FINN Partners’ Honolulu office is looking for an experienced Director, Research Field Services to help lead FINN Partners’ primary research data collection unit.

This role involves leading a team responsible for conducting telephone and in-person intercept surveys, as well as recruiting for and coordinating logistics of in-person and online qualitative research such as focus groups, mock juries, and in-depth interviews. You will be accountable for maintaining high standards of data quality, operational efficiency, and project delivery within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

As the Director, Research Field Services, you will supervise, mentor, and develop a team that includes a Call Center Manager, Field Services Coordinator and, by extension, elastic workforce of Call Center Interviewers/Recruiters and in-person Intercept Interviewers.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the Field Services team.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of research database of residents and businesses who have opted-in to participate in market research.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies in market research data collection and recommend their adoption where appropriate.
  • Partner with internal teams to understand client needs and ensure that field service deliverables align with project goals.
Additionally, you will be tasked with:
  • Allocating resources effectively to meet project timelines and client expectations.
  • Managing the deployment and quality assurance of telephone and intercept surveys, coordinating with team fielding online surveys to meet shared goals.
  • Managing the administration of airport badging and security clearances needed for in-person intercept interviews to be conducted at Hawaii airports on behalf of State of Hawaii.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and ethical guidelines in data collection.
  • Managing the identification, scheduling, and confirmation of qualified respondents for focus groups, mock juries, and in-depth interviews.
  • Overseeing logistics for conducting in-person group research exercises at Anthology’s on-site focus group facility, as well as online qualitative research through videoconferencing platform.
  • Ensuring project specifications are met and administrative reporting is done in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Developing standards for ensuring high data quality.
  • Collaborating with a Data Coordinator to develop and implement campaigns for growing the database with qualified participants.
  • Optimizing workflows, tools, and processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Managing vendor relationships for outsourced fieldwork and technology solutions.


To be considered for this role you will need to be located in Honolulu. You will be expected to be in the office 4-5 days a week and the ability to work evenings and weekends, as well as overnight travel as required. 

You will be considered as a candidate if you have:

  • Five (5) years’ experience in market research, marketing, communications, or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Human Resources, Market Research or a related field.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences. A results-driven mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Strong ability to focus on accuracy, attention-to-detail, and timeliness.

Compensation Range: $80-$110k annually, commensurate with experience level.
