Associate Vice President - B2B Tech

Finn Partners is one of the fastest growing marketing communications firms in the world.  We are looking for a creative, analytically-minded Associate Vice President to join our B2B and technology team in Chicago. Do you devour business media and follow emerging trends, thought leaders and influencers? Are you a connector of people and information? Are you a quick thinker and even quicker on your feet?

We are looking for someone with 8-10 years of experience reaching business decision-makers through innovative integrated media campaigns. We’re looking for someone who’s digitally savvy, gets how to create compelling, multi-media business content, comes up with great ideas, is naturally curious about current events and is interested in following news cycles relevant to clients.

This team member will be successful by understanding clients and audiences and making things happen:

  • Develop creative strategies and execution plans for client programs
  • Develop new narratives and storylines that break through to business, trade and consumer media
  • Build client reputations, thought leadership and share of voice through unique content and any and all media
  • Help clients successfully navigate earned and social media interactions
  • Contribute to the success of integrated, cross-office, cross-practice teams and be a leader for both team members and clients
  • Help ensure clear and effective communications among clients, account teams and other stakeholders
  • Innovate new ideas, opportunities and strategies to enhance client success
  • Help develop programs, campaigns and new business proposals
  • Contribute to seamless and effortless client service, with account administration, client billing and activity reports, results reports and success metrics
  • Stay steps ahead on industry knowledge, news, social media and networking


How you’ll know you’re ready:

  • Track record managing b2b, tech or corporate brands in an agency environment
  • Illustrative examples of your professional writing, published content across media platforms and ability to manage client needs
  • Positive, go-getter attitude, and strong work ethic
  • Demonstrable success in executing client communication strategies
  • Detail-oriented, excellent, and timely writing skills
  • Ability to run and collaborate with a team and actively prepare and participate in all meetings
  • Strong time management skills
  • Willingness to ‘roll up your sleeves’ and coach other team members
  • Account management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communication studies or related field
  • Preferred 8-10 years of b2b and/or corporate client experience in an agency setting
